Maple Granola

Recipe adapted from Ontario Maple

Time required 

60 minutes total:

  • 15 minutes to prepare

  • 45 minutes to bake 

Ingredients

  • 3 cups large-flake rolled oats

  • 1 1/3 cup  almonds or pecans, chopped

  • 3/4 cups sunflower seeds

  • 1/3 cup sesame seeds

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 3/4 teaspoons salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 2/3 cups Milestone Ridge maple syrup

  • 3 tablespoons melted coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup coconut chips (optional)

  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries (optional)

  • 1/3 cup raisins (optional)

Steps to Prepare

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F.

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the dry ingredients: oats, almonds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, cinnamon, salt and ginger.

  4. To the dry ingredients, add the wet ingredients: maple syrup and oil and mix until all ingredients are incorporated.

  5. Spread the prepared mixture evenly on a baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown, stirring every 15 minutes.

  7. Allow to cool completely.

  8. Sprinkle with coconut chips, cranberries and/or raisins or whatever mix-ins you find satisfying!

How to Store

We recommend storing your granola in an airtight container. For the freshest taste, enjoy it within 2-3 weeks.
